About The Roundtable
The Oklahoma Business Roundtable serves as the state’s major economic development support organization.
Comprised of over 150 top Oklahoma corporations and business organizations, the Roundtable provides important business development advice and assistance to the Governor, Lt. Governor the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and other state economic development partners.
Formed in 1991, the Roundtable is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization which supports statewide job creation and investment. Funding is directed to business retention and expansion ; new business start-up (entrepreneurship) and business location (recruitment).
Our members represent key manufacturing, financial, energy, business services, R&D and economic development organizations across Oklahoma.
The Roundtable helps fund important business promotion activities to spur the expansion and recruitment of new business in Oklahoma. This includes hosting prospects, site location consultants and dignitaries; assisting trade and investment missions; promoting Oklahoma; providing marketing materials; and sponsoring business development events when state appropriated monies cannot be used. Roundtable members also play a key role in contacting and hosting both domestic and international clients.

Program of Work:
- Encourage and promote the state’s economic development.
- Promote new business investment throughout Oklahoma, including start-up, expansion and attraction of business facilities and operations.
- Provide financial support for receptions, meetings, seminars, targeted research studies, trade and investment missions and other domestic and global promotion activities that are essential to Oklahoma’s growth and development.
- Help share the cost of recruitment and prospect travel and associated proposal development.
- Coordinate development efforts with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and the statewide private-sector Governor’s Economic Development Team and Governor’s International Team.

Mission Statement
The Oklahoma Business Roundtable is Oklahoma’s primary economic development “support” organization. The Roundtable accomplishes this by providing critical private funding in support of the economic development efforts of the Governor, Lt. Governor and Oklahoma Department of Commerce by encouraging business investment and jobs in Oklahoma. Formed in 1991, the Roundtable is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization.
