Governor Mary Fallin and state leaders addressed over 100 members of the Oklahoma Business Roundtable at the Fall Membership meeting on October 24that the Governor’s Mansion. Meeting Highlights:
Over 100 Roundtable members attend the annual membership meeting and dinner on June 19th at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. Chairman Don Walker presided over the event which included reports from Commerce Secretary Dave Lopez, Lt. Governor Todd Lamb and Governor Mary Fallin.
Over 130 Roundtable members attended The Roundtable’s Annual Membership meeting at the Governor’s Mansion on October 27th. The meeting included economic development program updates from the Governor, Lt. Governor, Commerce Department and i2E. Plus, Bob Sullivan, Chairman of the Governor’s Task Force on Economic Development and Job Creation, brought highlights of 13 economic development policy and program recommendations from this important statewide leadership group. The recommendations have now been presented to the Governor for further review.
A national site selection expert cited Oklahoma as a cost-effective location for new industry, but cautioned that the state must resist major program cuts and fully market its benefits to the global corporate community.
