Roundtable Supports Economic Development Projects

This spring the Oklahoma Business Roundtable is supporting several important projects to enhance the state’s economic development. Roundtable President Carl Edwards said the efforts help promote entrepreneurship and new business start-up, business expansion and recruitment.

Projects include Governor Fallin’s “America Works” Summit in Oklahoma City with the National Governors Association; the Lt. Governor’s annual turkey hunt in five Oklahoma communities (targeted to business investors and site location consultants); the Oklahoma Venture Forum annual "Most Promising Business" awards; South by Southwest interactive company competition; Quality Foundation workforce development and leadership seminars and i2E’s annual Governor’s Cup statewide collegiate business plan program.  

Global business promotion events include the BIO Industry show; American Windpower Show; Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Summit; International Asset Management Group (top corporate real estate and site selection executives) and the Farnborough Air Show.

The Roundtable annual meeting will be held June 10th at 4:30 at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. Governor Mary Fallin, Lt. Governor Todd Lamb and Commerce Secretary Larry Parman will participate.
